Latina 1600 AM is the newest Hispanic/Latino radio station in
Kentucky.  Its mission is to empower our community by offering local,
national and international news, entertainment- Music, events, as well
as any information important to us Latinos. 

Latina 1600 AM is Created by Latinos, and for Latinos living in this
great State of Kentucky.   Living in this beautiful Bluegrass state for
many years, we believe that we can help to promote every aspect of our
culture through the airwaves of Latina 1600 am.

Estamos buscando actores hispanos (niños y niñas) entre las edades de 13 y 18 años de edad para participar en una audición para la elaboración de un vídeo de reconocimiento a una institución no lucrativa dedicada a ayudar a la juventud. No es necesario el tener experiencia, aunque seria útil.

Considerations for Victims of Domestic Violence and their Children
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This training will promote a culturally competent system of care and will focus on the dynamics of domestic violence. It will also include: the effects of domestic violence on adults and children who witness, lethality and risk assessments, resources and referrals, reporting requirements, and legal options for protection and strategies for providing language accessible services.
