El camino, la verdad y la vida

La crisis financiera por la que atraviesa el mundo, y que pronto se
traducirá en una crisis económica, ha despertado desconfianza y temor
sobre el futuro. Si bien los jefes de Estado se han puesto de acuerdo
para resolver dicho problema, todavía no está claro en qué ni cuándo se
restablecerá el equilibrio global.

El ser humano ha transitado por el planeta cerca de seis mil años, y
durante este tiempo ha visto distintos reinos y gobiernos, períodos de
paz y de guerra, catástrofes y desarrollo, en fin, muchas cosas que
están registradas en la historia. La ciencia y la tecnología han
avanzado de manera espectacular, y han llegado a límites nunca antes
visto. Sin embargo, lo curioso es que hoy más que nunca enfrentamos un
problema que podría no tener solución, al menos no en el corto plazo, y
cuyas consecuencias podrían sufrir nuestros hijos y nietos.

Para los que creemos en Dios y en su hijo, el Señor Jesús, los
problemas de la humanidad tienen otra explicación y también otra
solución. En principio, la desobediencia a nuestro Creador, que nos ha
inducido a vivir según nuestro propio albedrío y alejados Él, y de
acuerdo a nuestras propias leyes. Todo esto, en lugar de traernos paz y
prosperidad nos ha traído problemas y pobreza. La desobediencia marcó
el inicio de nuestra tragedia, y nuestra incredulidad en Jesús nos ha
condenado.

No hay que confundirse, el gobierno del hombre es imperfecto, y el
sistema dentro del cual vivimos es injusto, pues no hay paz ni equidad.
Dios, conocedor de esta triste realidad humana, nos ha dado a su hijo,
el Señor Jesús, como esperanza inequívoca de que algún día el mismo
Creador nos gobernará con paz y justicia. El Señor Jesús fue categórico
cuando dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida, y nadie viene al
Padre sino es por mí”. El camino nos indica la ruta, la verdad nos dice
que Él es una realidad, y la vida nos muestra su gloria y potestad
sobre todo cuanto existe en el universo. Al aceptar a Jesús como Señor
y Salvador, glorificamos a Dios y, a la vez, recibimos el derecho
celestial de recibir la corona de vida cuando Cristo retorne para tomar
a sus escogidos.

Los tiempos son difíciles, y si algo de sensatez tenemos, debemos
buscar a Dios mientras pueda ser hallado. Ojalá que los problemas que
enfrenta la humanidad se resuelvan pronto, pero también rogamos que el
Creador nos guíe para vivir según su voluntad. Es necesario que el
pueblo entero se humille ante ÉL para que nuestra nación sea sanada y
bendecida, pues es una promesa que el mismo Dios nos hizo, y ante el
problema global que enfrentamos, debemos recurrir a ella.

The Way, The Truth, And The Life

The financial crisis the world is going through, and that soon will be
translated into an economic crisis, has awakened mistrust and fear
about the future. Although the leaders of nations have come to an
agreement to solve this problem, it is not yet clear in what or when
global balance will be reestablished.

Human beings have traveled on this planet for nearly six thousand
years, and during this time they have seen different kingdoms and
governments, periods of peace and war, catastrophes and development, in
short, many things that are recorded in history. Science and technology
have advanced in a spectacular way, and have reached limits never seen
before. However, the curious thing is that, today more than ever, we
face a problem that might not have a solution, at least not in the
short term, and whose consequences our children and grandchildren could
suffer.

For those of us who believe in God and in His Son, The Lord Jesus, the
problems of humanity have another explanation and also another
solution. In principle, the disobedience to our Creator that has
induced us to live according to our own will and far away from Him, and
according to our own laws. All this, instead of bringing us peace and
prosperity has brought us problems and poverty. Disobedience marked the
beginning of our tragedy, and our not believing in Jesus has condemned
us.

You don’t have to get confused, man's government is imperfect, and the
system within which we live is unjust, because there is neither peace,
nor fairness. God, aware of this sad human reality, has given us His
Son, The Lord Jesus, as unequivocal hope that some day the very Creator
will govern us with peace and justice. The Lord Jesus was categorical
when he said: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man will
come to the Father but by me.” The way shows us the route, the truth
tells us that He is a reality, and the life shows us His glory and
power over everything that exists in the universe. Accepting Jesus as
Lord and Savior, we glorify God and, at the same time, we receive the
celestial right to receive the crown of life when Christ returns to
take his chosen ones.

Times are difficult, and if we have a little bit of good sense, we
should seek God while He can be found. Hopefully, the problems that
humanity faces will be solved soon, but we also pray that the Creator
guides us to live according to His will. It is necessary that the whole
nation humbles before HIM so that our nation would be healed and
blessed, because it is a promise that God Himself made to us, and in
view of the global problem we are facing, we should resort to it.
