Description

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), nation's leading advocacy organization for children's health care, is seeking a sharp, forward thinking individual who has knowledge/interest in state government affairs arena to provide administrative and project support to the Division of State Government Affairs.

Reporting to the Director, Division of State Government Affairs this individual will be the first line of assistance to those seeking division information or assistance; coordinate meeting and travel arrangements; maintain division budget and expense reports; conduct basic research on topics; and maintain rosters and filing system to keep information organized and accurate.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a high school diploma (college degree preferred), 3-5 years administrative experience, government affairs or legal background a plus, strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, and superb PC skills (Word, Excel). Some overtime may be required.
