Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Train & deploy Enterprise Lean Sigma at site or function organization
  • Partner with site's leaders and business value stream managers
  • Lead & coordinate continuous improvement efforts at site or functional area. Reports to the site or functional manager. Will be a liaison between plant and division Enterprise Lean Sigma.
  • Support the select core implementation teams members and introduce them to the value steam management process, 5S, visual controls, VSM, Kanban Daily MDI, etc.
  • Assists in selection of teams and individuals to work Enterprise Lean Sigma implementation opportunities
  • Develop training plans and site's trainers
  • Monitor the team's progress in applying the Enterprise Lean Sigma techniques
  • Effectively remove roadblocks as they arise
  • Review current and future's state vs. map and kaizen proposals
  • Facilitate and support Kaizen events
  • Communicate to all levels within the organization
  • Implement the value stream management process (in all Sites this includes non-manufacturing processes) and track results
  • Apply Enterprise Lean Sigma assessment throughout the site and participate on ELS site assessments
  • Share best practices with other sites CI managers and develop coordinated plans
  • Identify project opportunities with a site or across business unit
  • Identify and remove organizational barriers to continuous improvement process
  • Lead site's lay out improvement efforts
  • Lead site's flow process improvement efforts
  • Lead efforts on applying best practices
  • Use the Value Stream Map to measure progress
  • Accountable for sustained results
  • Track Site CI metrics

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years in business experience, driving team excellence, and managing people
  • Proven leadership skills ( lead, motivate, process and people management skills)
  • Passion and commitment to Enterprise Lean Sigma
  • Experience in improvement processes (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
  • Authority to make changes happens across functions and departments
  • Authority to commit resources
  • Track record of being a change agent
  • Successful and effective communicator
